Project B-WaterSmart - Accelerating Water Smartness in Coastal Europe Project B-WaterSmart - Accelerating Water Smartness in Coastal Europe
2021-12-27

LNEC participates in the B-WaterSmart project, which aims to promote the transformation of Europe's coastal cities to intelligent water management, through the creation of new market models, circular economy and data management for multiple users and sectors.

To this end, methodologies, tools and processes will be developed with a view to improving water efficiency and the water-energy ratio, aiming at making cities increasingly prepared for water scarcity and the challenges of climate change.

The B-WaterSmart consortium, grounded in 6 European cities and coastal regions - one of them Lisbon – acting as interconnected "Living Labs” (LLs), brings together 36 partners, through the Aqua Research Collaboration research network (ARC), of which LNEC is a founding member, together with IWW (Germany), KWR (The Netherlands), CETAQUA (Spain), SINTEF and NTNU (Norway).
