Last 23rd January the workshop "Urban resilience as a continuous process”, organised by Portuguese partners of the project H2020 RESCCUE – Resilience to cope with Climate Change in Urban areas, took place in the Lisbon City Council.

This event, addressed to local stakeholders, was aimed at presenting the RESCCUE project results and promoting the use of the project’s methodologies and tools, as well as to discuss further implementations.

It brought together around 120 people from 28 public and private entities, from central, regional and local administration, including strategic stakeholders from different sectors involved in all phases of RESCCUE project.

The session had presentations from LNEC, Câmara Municipal de Lisboa, Águas do Tejo Atlântico, EDP Distribuição and HIDRA, and ended with a challenge for the participants to share some thoughts about how to maintain the community involved in the urban resilience process.

The attendees had also the opportunity to visit the sea level valve chambers and the wastewater pumping and lift Station in Down Town, with a guided visit by Águas do Tejo Atlantico.
This event was associated to Lisbon European Green Capital 2020, recognizing that the key for cities to face climate change is to take resilience as a continuous process.
