Research and Professional Activity

  • The activity developed includes different aspects, integrating desk work, fieldwork and laboratory work, as well as participation in communication and dissemination actions, including presentations at conferences and other national and international meetings, as well as in courses or teaching at Universities.
  • Participated in the preparation of proposals for contract studies and R & D, both national and international; experience in project coordination and R & D studies.
  • Member of multidisciplinary teams carrying out technical and scientific studies.
  • Participated and / or coordinated more than one hundred missions in Portugal aiming at the characterization of water resources, the assessment of the impact of pollutant sources, including runoff water, and monitoring systems for stormwater treatment. Responsible for the planning and implementation of monitoring studies of inland water bodies and pollutant sources, involving specific and automatic equipment.

Scientific Orientation

  • Supervisor or co-supervisor of several academic dissertations, including master and Ph.Ds, and member of the jury of three Master and five Ph.D. defences.
