Areas of Research / Interest

  • Environmental quality in estuaries and coastal zones, namely water and ecological quality, including the effects of climate change in the water quality and ecological dynamics.
  • Water quality and ecological modelling in estuarine and coastal areas, focusing on eutrophication, fecal contamination, effluent disposal and submarine outfalls
  • Water quality monitoring, including in-situ data acquisition and online monitoring networks.
  • Nowcast-forecast systems for water quality and coastal observatories.
  • Hydrodynamics in estuarine and coastal areas (numerical modelling, data acquisition and nowcast-forecast systems).
