LNEC is committed to bringing engineering and society closer by promoting initiatives such as Guided Tours.

These activities are especially relevant for students preparing to choose their area of study in higher education, giving them direct contact with the world of engineering and the challenges it faces in a constantly evolving society.

This time, LNEC hosted students from the Science and Technology course at the Cister School Group, Alcobaça

During the visit, the students had contact with engineers from the Ports and Maritime Structures, Modelling and Rock Mechanics departments and watched an experiment at the Cementitious Materials Department. They also learned about the Triaxial seismic platform in the Structures Department.
