![]() 2025-01-31 Inaugurated in 1952, the LNEC campus, located in Alvalade, in Lisbon, and
extending over 22 hectares, is composed of a set of buildings of great
architectural interest, built at different decades, and constructed by
some of the greatest figures of Portuguese architecture, such as Pardal
Monteiro, Januário Godinho and João Andersen, among others. The gardens, designed by architects Gonçalo Ribeiro Telles and Fernão Vaz Pinto, contain several rare and exotic species. The LNEC campus includes several works of artistic interest, from sculptural pieces, ceramic panels and ceramic paintings, by renowned artists, such as the painter Lino António. In December 2012, the LNEC campus was classified as a Monument of Public Interest. On LNEC's 70th anniversary, an E-book was published about the LNEC campus. |
