Research Networks

Sharing research, knowledge and resources with other science and technology entities is fundamental to the performance of LNEC's mission, which is why it maintains strategic partnerships with other institutions, such as universities, technology centres, associated laboratories and national and international corporate R&D&I centres, in a logic of complementarity and excellence.

As such, LNEC is a member of various consortia for research programmes or projects and for research infrastructures, positioning itself as an active partner in the main national and international S&T networks in areas related to its activity.

Internationally, LNEC's cooperation with similar European institutions stands out, as does its cooperation with engineering laboratories in the CPLP - Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries.

LNEC regularly collaborates in post-graduate training activities with various national and foreign universities, with which it has protocols. Of particular note is its current participation in four doctoral programmes, in partnership with the main Portuguese universities, funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT).
