Given the relevance and timeliness of this topic, the course "Climate Resilience in the Urban Water Cycle"will take place from May 27 to 29, 2026, at the National Laboratory for Civil Engineering (LNEC).
This training course aims to provide knowledge on resilience within the urban water cycle to address the challenges of climate dynamics—such as heavy rainfall, tidal effects, droughts, or heatwaves. These phenomena have a significant impact on strategic services, people, the natural and built environment, and the economy, especially considering the worsening of current conditions and the emergence of new risks.
The course is designed for managers and technicians in urban planning, water supply, wastewater and stormwater services, as well as consultants, designers, Master’s and PhD students, and others interested in the field.
