        MAIN AREAS OF RESEARCH/INTEREST 

        Nature-based solutions for promoting urban health and well-being, including the relationship between exposure to natural environments and improved physical and psychological health, and the socio-environmental impact of urban renaturation processes.

        Pro-environmental attitudes and behaviours, with a focus on environmental literacy, efficient use of natural resources, and the social, cultural, and psychological factors influencing conservation and sustainability practices.

        Social acceptance and attitudes toward innovation, particularly regarding emerging solutions, products, and technologies in the water and construction sectors.


        RESEARCH ACTIVITY 

        Co-coordination of the European project NATURELAB – Nature-based interventions to improve health, well-being and sustainability (HORIZON-CL6-2022-COMMUNITIES-02-two-stage)

        Participation in research projects with national and European external funding (H2020, HORIZON EUROPE, Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership, EEA Grants, FCT).

        Dissemination of research results through technical and scientific publications (articles, book chapters, technical reports) and presentation of papers and lectures.
