The University of Algarve (UAlg), in collaboration with the National Laboratory for Civil Engineering (LNEC), Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) and University of Cádiz (UCA), is organizing the 6th Ibero-American Congress of Special Concretes (HACBAC2025) - Concrete and Sustainability.

This is a congress whose objective is to bring together valid, original and innovative contributions to the development of knowledge about concrete material and particularly special concrete, in a multidisciplinary way, addressing the various issues related to the impact on this area of research that will necessarily have to overcome several challenges in the near future, both in academia and industry.

The 6th Congress corresponds to the continuation of the series of Ibero-American congresses, which began in Valencia in 2008, followed by editions in Guimarães, Madrid, Porto and again Valencia, and which were interrupted by the pandemic. We are currently registering new interests and challenges, which is why we propose a call focused on sustainability.

HACBAC will take place on the 18th and 19th of September 2025, in the historic coastal city of Faro, Algarve, Portugal, at the Instituto Superior de Engenharia of the University of Algarve. HACBAC2025 will have Portuguese, Spanish and English as official languages.
