LNEC was delighted to host the two-day General Assembly meeting of the MARCLAIMED Project at the LNEC Congress Centre.

Over the course of the event, we had the opportunity to present and discuss the ongoing tasks of the MARCLAIMED Project, as well as to plan future deliverables and outcomes.

On the third day, Águas Públicas do Alentejo, in collaboration with LNEC, organised a visit to the Comporta Demo Site. Participants gained deeper insights into the innovative MARCLAIMED solutions designed to further treat infiltrated wastewater. These solutions utilize a passive treatment system featuring reactive organic layers at the bottom of the basins, which facilitate the adsorption and biodegradation of contaminants.

In the afternoon, part of the team engaged with stakeholders in the first Community of Practice PT meeting to evaluate the benefits and challenges of implementing Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR).

O LNEC teve o prazer de acolher a reunião da Assembleia Geral do Projeto MARCLAIMED, no Centro de Congressos do LNEC.

Ao longo do evento, houve oportunidade de apresentar e discutir as tarefas em curso, bem como planear os futuros desenvolvimentos.

No terceiro dia, a Águas Públicas do Alentejo, em colaboração com o LNEC, organizou uma visita ao local de demonstração na Comporta. Os participantes obtiveram um conhecimento mais aprofundado sobre as soluções inovadoras do MARCLAIMED, visando um tratamento adicional das águas residuais infiltradas. Estas soluções utilizam um sistema de tratamento passivo com camadas orgânicas reativas no fundo das bacias, promovendo a adsorção e biodegradação dos contaminantes.

À tarde, parte da equipa teve uma reunião com os stakeholders, a primeira reunião com a Comunidade de Prática, para avaliar os benefícios e desafios da implementação da Gestão da Recarga de Aquíferos (MAR)
