In the fourth episode of the LNEC Lisbon Conference 2025 podcast, Miguel Cruz, CEO of Infraestruturas de Portugal - IP, highlighted the main challenges facing construction and transport infrastructure, pointing to sustainability, climate resilience, and the shortage of skilled labor: "We have to build more resilient infrastructure and reduce the construction footprint, incorporating more and more technology and circular economy".

The conversation also addressed the importance of innovation and technology - from drones to real-time monitoring systems - in making the sector more efficient and attractive to new generations.
