The eighth episode of the LNEC Lisbon Conference 2025 podcast featured André Rocha, administrator of the Casais Group. The conversation focused on the major challenges facing the construction industry, from the shortage of skilled labour to the need to reduce its environmental footprint.

He highlighted the importance of industrialisation and digitalisation in construction, pointing to specific examples already implemented by Casais in Portugal and abroad. The goal, he explained, is to make the sector more efficient, sustainable and attractive to new generations, while ensuring quality of life for building users.

"We believe that the future of construction lies in combining efficiency, technology and sustainability. Building buildings should be like assembling a car or a Lego piece: faster, smarter and with less environmental impact", said André Rocha.

The LNEC Lisbon Conference will take place on October 8 and 9, 2025.
