A group of students from the Bachelor’s Degree in Renewable Energy and Environment and the Higher Professional Technical Course in Renewable Energy and Environment visited the Maritime Hydraulics Pavilion (PHM) at LNEC. This facility conducts two and three dimensional (2D and 3D) physical modelling tests of coastal and port areas, enabling the study of wave behaviour and their interaction with different types of maritime structures.
During the visit, the class had the opportunity to see some of the physical models of maritime works built in the tanks and channels of the PHM and to learn about the main aspects related to choosing the scale, building and operating the models.
