Researchers of the Materials Department of LNEC Silvia Pereira and Teresa Diaz Gonçalves will participate, on Monday, May 12, at the Art and Science Conference - Museums and Universities at the Gulbenkian Museum Academy, on the panel dedicated to the "Study and material characterization of architectural artifacts from the Gulbenkian collection: Assyrian alabaster bas-relief and Iznik tile panels".

The event aims to highlight the importance of science in the knowledge of works of art, as well as supporting the best conservation interventions of heritage goods, reinforcing the connection between the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum and the Academy.

The program brings together specialists and representatives of national and international universities and specialized laboratories, with research paths related to the study of cultural heritage.
