LNEC researchers Ana Catarina Zózimo and Manuel Oliveira took part in the 4th General Assembly and 5th periodic meeting of the C2IMPRESS project (www.c2impress.com), held in Ordu (Turquey) between 8 and 9 April 2025.
The meeting was organised by the Municipality of Ordu. As the end of the project approaches, the first day of the meeting focused heavily on key performance indicators (KPIs) and Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs). The C2IMPRESS decision support platform and the System of Systems for Multi-Hazard Risk Intelligence Network (SoS4MHRIN, which provides dynamic analytics to assess the complete picture of the multi-hazard risk cycle in a multi-scale, multi-domain manner) were also presented.
On the last day of the meeting, a Vulnerability Assessment Workshop was held focused in the project's case study areas. During the session, participants discussed local vulnerabilities in the context of preparing for natural disasters and explored resilience strategies for dealing with the hazards identified.
The event concluded with a visit to one of Ordu's three Early Warning System (EWS) stations, located in Civil Creek - an area known for its exposure to hazards associated with river flooding.
