LNEC will host the awards ceremony for the 2026 BIM Excellence Award, which recognizes the projects that stand out most in the application and development of BIM methodology in Portugal. Following the jury’s review of the 30 applications received, the finalists in the various categories have now been announced:
- Project Owners: Contracting and Management

The Interoperability: openBIM category has no finalists.
The selected projects now move on to a new phase, during which the finalists will supplement their applications with more detailed information on specific aspects of the projects for the jury’s final evaluation.
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony, which will take place on November 17 at LNEC in Lisbon, as part of the openBIM DAY’26 program.
The 2026 BIM Excellence Award is an initiative of CT 197 – BIM, in partnership with ONS – BUILT CoLAB and PTPC – Portuguese Construction Technology Platform / AEC Cluster.
