On 18 December, LNEC, through its Conservation of the Natural and Built Heritage Unit, will hold a public presentation of the book "Conservation of Granite in Cultural Heritage", written by José Delgado Rodrigues, retired Research Coordinator. The event will take place in the Small Auditorium of the LNEC Congress Centre at 4.30 p.m. and will be attended by several figures involved in heritage research and conservation.

The opening session will be made by the Chair of the LNEC Board of Directors, Laura Caldeira, followed by a presentation by José Saporiti Machado, LNEC Researcher, who will address the relevance of the topic in the context of the Unit's work.

The programme also includes the presentation "The book was born here" by researcher Dória Costa and an external perspective on the work by IST-UL Associate Professor Ana Ferreira Pinto. The event will close with "A brief history of the book", presented by the author himself.
