In 2025, the National Civil Engineering Laboratory (LNEC) will celebrate three decades of accreditation of its testing and metrology laboratories. To mark this date, it is holding the 4th edition of the ‘LNEC Laboratories Open Day’ on 25 June, dedicated to the theme ‘30 years of Accreditation at LNEC’.

The event includes an exhibition on ‘Samples and specimens tested at LNEC’ and guided tours of various Laboratory Units, offering the public a unique experience of direct contact with the professionals and infrastructures that support experimental research in Civil Engineering.

The initiative reinforces the role of experimentation and metrology in innovation and the development of the construction sector, bringing science, technology and society closer together.

O Laboratório Nacional de Engenharia Civil (LNEC) comemora, em 2025, três décadas de acreditação dos seus laboratórios de ensaios e de Metrologia. Para assinalar esta data, realiza no dia 25 de junho a 4.ª edição do “Open Day dos Laboratórios do LNEC”, dedicada ao tema “30 anos de Acreditação no LNEC”.

O evento inclui uma exposição sobre “Amostras e provetes ensaiados no LNEC” e visitas guiadas a várias Unidades Laboratoriais, oferecendo ao público uma experiência única de contacto direto com os profissionais e as infraestruturas que sustentam a investigação experimental em Engenharia Civil.

A iniciativa reforça o papel da experimentação e da Metrologia na inovação e no desenvolvimento do setor da construção, promovendo a aproximação entre ciência, tecnologia e sociedade.
