LNEC is one of the institutions contributing to the ICCROM (International Center for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property) Heritage Sample Archive Catalog.

The catalog aims to improve the awareness, preservation, management, access and use of cultural heritage sample archives, having been prepared within the scope of the HSAI initiative (Heritage Samples Archives Initiative - https://www.iccrom.org/projects/heritage-samples-archives-initiative).

LNEC also participates in the HSAI initiative, making use of the knowledge and experience acquired on the DB-HERITAGE project and system (physical sample repositories and information management system for construction materials with historical and heritage interest - https:// db-heritage.lnec.pt/).

Currently 18 files from 15 partner institutions are available in the catalog, including LNEC as the custodian institution of the DB-HERITAGE system.
