LNEC is a partner in a new European Union-funded project, Oceanity, which promotes the European Digital Twin of the Ocean (EDITO), delivering three user-oriented applications with a high level of technological readiness (TRL):

- Coastal and urban resilience

- Maritime spatial planning

- Sustainable maritime operations

Designed in collaboration with policy-makers, industry, civil society and researchers, these applications will be validated through 10 use cases across all four EU sea basins — ensuring scalability, transferability and full alignment with EU policies and the missions ‘Restoring our oceans and waters’ and ‘A climate-resilient Europe’.

This is an integrated approach that strengthens the ‘evidence–policy–action’ cycle, empowers communities to adapt to climate change, stimulates the sustainable growth of the blue economy and positions Europe at the global forefront of marine digital innovation.
