Specialists from LNEC, Itaipu  Binacional and Itaipu Parquetec met in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, to  exchange knowledge and experiences.

Organized by the  Advanced Center for Dam Solutions (CEASB), the meeting focused on  sharing technical knowledge and developing innovative solutions for dam  management. Activities included technical measurements and monitoring at  the Powerhouse and the Right Bank Connection Dam of the Itaipu  Hydroelectric Plant, ensuring the integrity of these large structures.

One  of the highlights of the meeting was the lecture by Eng. Jorge Pereira  Gomes, from LNEC, on "Technologies Developed and Applied in Numerical  Simulation for Dams". His presentation addressed crucial innovations in  risk prevention and structural analysis of dams, areas in which LNEC has  extensive experience.

The collaboration between LNEC and the  Brazilian entities demonstrates a joint commitment to strengthen safety  in dam management and promote innovative practices.
