he Regiostars Awards, an initiative of the European Commission that recognizes projects financed by EU funds with the greatest impact on the territories. The projects “AMP - Cultural Heritage: Metropolitan Heritage Days” and “AGEO”, both supported by the EU and managed by CCDR NORTE, are among the finalists.

AGEO, led by the Instituto Superior Técnico and of which LNEC is a partner, is a finalist in the “Green Europe” category, standing out for its work with scientists, communities, and policy makers in the management of geological risks. The Atlantic Platform for Geohazard Risk Management (AGEO) aims to demonstrate how citizen involvement in geological risk prevention can strengthen regional and national risk management systems.

In addition to the jury's decision, which will be based on the final presentations on October 14, the European public can also choose their favorite project until October 15, when the winners of the Regiostars Awards will be announced in Brussels.
