LNEC participates in the European project H2030 ICARIA - Improving climate resilience of critical assets, between 2023 and 2025. The project aims to better understand the impacts related to climate change in terms of assets and reduce the associated risk. By promoting the definition of scenarios (related, among others, to floods, droughts, heat waves, wind or forest fires), the use of modeling (to understand the impact on water supply systems, energy, transport, buildings and natural areas), and by providing diverse tools, methodologies and a portfolio of adaptation solutions, ICARIA aims to improve the resilience of these systems and their cities and regions.

A project meeting took place in November at LNEC, with colleagues from five European countries, where the inclusion of different tools in a decision support system was discussed.
