The National Laboratory for Civil Engineering (LNEC) welcomed 30 students from the University of Lisbon’s Ulisses Programme, an initiative aimed at fostering interdisciplinarity and collaboration within an international multidisciplinary team on a research programme focusing on ocean sustainability.

The visit began with a brief institutional presentation and a film about LNEC’s activities, focusing on the research areas of the Hydraulics and Environment Department.

This was followed by a technical tour of the Ports and Maritime Structures Unit, where the students had the opportunity to learn about projects and studies relating to the protection of coastal areas and the sustainable management of water resources.

O Laboratório Nacional de Engenharia Civil (LNEC) recebeu 30 estudantes do Programa Ulisses da Universidade de Lisboa, uma iniciativa que visa a interdisciplinaridade e a colaboração em equipa multidisciplinar internacional em programa de investigação no âmbito da sustentabilidade dos oceanos.

A visita iniciou-se com uma breve apresentação institucional e a exibição de um filme sobre a atividade do LNEC, com destaque para as áreas de investigação do Departamento de Hidráulica e Ambiente. 

Seguiu-se um percurso técnico pelo Núcleo de Portos e Estruturas Marítimas onde os alunos tiveram oportunidade de conhecer projetos e estudos no âmbito da proteção das zonas costeirasee da gestão sustentável dos recursos hídricos.
