The training group for Relacre's ‘Applied Measurement and Equipment Management’ course visited several departments of LNEC, with a focus on giving trainees direct contact with different areas of applied research.

During the visit, the trainees had the opportunity to visit the Metrology Laboratory, where they were able to explore calibration and precision techniques, and the Metal Products sector, where they learned about material characterisation and performance tests. 

The visit ended at the Wind Tunnel, where they were able to observe tests dedicated to the behaviour of structures in the face of wind action. 

This visit allowed them to put into practice many of the concepts covered in the theoretical component, thereby reinforcing their technical learning.
