LNEC will strengthen its capacity to digitize cultural heritage through the ID4CH project – Digital Infrastructure for Heritage Conservation and Dissemination. The initiative focuses on acquiring advanced equipment for digital surveying, data processing, and creating specialized repositories.

The goal is to expand the existing infrastructure, support national and European projects, create a Digital Twin platform with 3D models accessible to the public, and share high-resolution content with partners.

The project also includes training and demonstration activities for professionals and civil society, raising awareness of the importance of digitization in the preservation and dissemination of cultural assets.

Among the concrete actions, three pilot cases of heritage digitization will be chosen, using technologies such as laser scanners, structured light, and photogrammetry to perform quick and accurate surveys, both in urban contexts and in interiors or remote areas. The data collected will feed into European projects such as ATRIUM and ARTEMIS and will be made available online, encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing.
