The LIFE Fitting project was awarded a PT Global Water Award in the R&D&I category during the 8th edition of this prize, organized by Água&Ambiente and the PPA – Portuguese Water Partnership. The award ceremony took place on 14 November 2025, during the 20th Expo Conferência da Água.

The PT Global Water Awards recognize outstanding Portuguese projects in the fields of internationalization and innovation in the water sector. LIFE Fitting’s recognition highlights the project’s commitment to innovation, notably through (i) New knowledge – data on micropollutants and antimicrobial resistance in WWTPs and rivers, a portfolio of strategies, best practice guidelines, and a Policy Brief; (ii) Digital tools. The award also acknowledged the collaboration and expertise of the consortium as well as the high potential for replicating the solutions developed in Portugal and in Europe.
