LNEC took part in the event "Earthquakes - where science meets society" organised by the Lisbon Academy of Sciences.

LNEC participation aimed to highlight the scientific and technological progress in earthquake engineering in Portugal and, in particular, LNEC's contribution. From designing and building the first seismic platform in the 1970s, to today's cutting-edge hybrid tests, LNEC showed how decades of experimental and numerical research have contributed to creating safer structures and a more resilient society.

O LNEC participou no evento "Sismos - onde a ciência encontra a sociedade" organizado pela Academia das Ciências de Lisboa.

A participação do LNEC teve como objetivo destacar o progresso científico e tecnológico da engenharia sísmica em Portugal e, em particular, os contributos do LNEC nesta área. Desde o projeto e construção da primeira plataforma sísmica nos anos 70 do séc. XX, até aos inovadores ensaios híbridos da atualidade, o LNEC mostrou como décadas de investigação experimental e numérica contribuíram para a criação de estruturas mais seguras e uma sociedade mais resiliente.
