LNEC welcomed the Associação Novamente – Acquired Brain Injury for a visit to its laboratories.

The visit included the Ports and Maritime Structures Unit, from the Hydraulics and Environment Department, and the Seismic Engineering and Structural Dynamics Unit, from the Structures Department.

The Associação Novamente supports individuals who have suffered severe acquired brain injuries, as well as their families. It is a national reference entity in the field of traumatic brain injury, and also embraces other types of acquired brain damage, such as strokes, aneurysms, brain tumors, hydrocephalus, and encephalitis.

It was a pleasure to share knowledge and foster collaboration between science, engineering, and such meaningful social causes.
