LNEC welcomed a visit from Navy Officers from the Specialization Course for Officers Specializing in Hydrography.

At the Hydraulics and Environment Department (DHA), the Navy Officers learned about the main areas of work that LNEC is engaged in at the DHA, the main precautions to be taken in estuaries and on coasts, as well as the different methods applied.

The visit also included the Ports and Maritime Structures Unit, where they were able to observe how stability and overtopping tests are carried out, with a special focus on the Port of São Roque do Pico.
