Technical visit by LNEC researchers to the construction contract for the university residence next to the School of Technology and Management of the Polytechnic Institute of Beja, carried out by the CASAIS Group

Researchers from LNEC's Buildings Department travelled to Beja for a technical visit to the 4th phase of the construction contract for the university residence next to the School of Technology and Management of the Polytechnic Institute of Beja, which is being undertaken by the CASAIS Group.
The building uses the CREE system, which is sustainable and prefabricated, combining wood and concrete, reducing deadlines, allowing for reuse and will have capacity for 503 residents.
The visit and technical meeting took place together with a team from the CASAIS Group, coordinated by João Crispim, as part of the technical and scientific activities of common interest provided for in the Collaboration Protocol signed in July 2024 between LNEC and the CASAIS Group.
