Technical Comission 90
The purpose of the Technical Committee for Standardisation No. 90 (TC 90) is to develop normative documents and issue normative recommendations in the field of Urban Water Systems. The standards developed apply to infrastructure and services in urban water systems, namely: water supply systems, wastewater systems, rainwater systems and water reuse. LNEC is the Sector Standardisation Body (ONS) for this field, appointed by the Portuguese Quality Institute (IPQ).
In 1990, TC 90 began supporting European standardisation activities carried out by the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN) and in 2004 it began supporting international standardisation activities carried out by the International Standards Organisation (ISO). The following Technical Committees are followed:
In addition to this technical support, CT 90 also drafts the Portuguese version of standards, concentrating this effort on those where translation can facilitate their adoption by the national technical community.
