The Climate-Adapt4EOSC project, funded by Horizon Europe, aims to develop FAIR data and innovative services that strengthen adaptation to climate change in Europe.

A collaborative platform will be created, centred on the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC), to integrate and expand existing data and services in the area. The project focuses on challenges such as data interoperability, FAIRification and the open publication of scientific results.

With these solutions, advanced analytical tools will be promoted to assess climate risks and support informed public policies.

LNEC has a central role in the project, thanks to its experience in operational coastal forecasting systems, advanced modelling and integration of technological infrastructures.

The LNEC team is coordinated by Alberto Azevedo, from the Estuaries and Coastal Zones Unit, with support from the Ports and Maritime Structures Unit (NPE) and the Information Technologies and Computer Infrastructures Unit (NTIII).
