Dr. Eng. Elisabete Arsénio, principal researcher at LNEC, was one of the keynote speakers at Finland’s VTT Technical Research Centre during the final conference of the ADMIRAL project, dedicated to the theme "Shaping the Future of Sustainable Logistics in Europe". The event brought together representatives from industry, companies, universities, and research institutes across the European Union (EU). LNEC’s presentation, "Sustainability across logistics supply chains for low/zero emissions: insights from companies & policy recommendations", focused on logistics sustainability in conjunction with smart solutions and the digitization of freight transport data in the European Union, highlighting opportunities for new services in the near future.

At the beginning of her presentation, she highlighted the results obtained in the Work Package she coordinated for the ADMIRAL project, noting the significant number of scientific publications and successful cooperation with more than 53 companies. A member of her team, Eng. Gabriel Dias, a research assistant at LNEC, summarized the results of the analysis of sustainability reports prepared by companies in the ecosystem of the pilot studies conducted in Portugal, Spain, Finland, Lithuania, Slovenia, and Croatia.
