The second edition of the SCIE Symposium took place on October 22 at the LNEC Congress Centre, bringing together more than 150 participants from public, private, and academic institutions.

The event featured four thematic sessions dedicated to the main challenges and trends in fire safety in buildings — from legislative and regulatory developments, to cooperation among sector stakeholders, as well as new design and construction concepts and the risks at the urban–rural interface.

With 12 high-quality presentations, the symposium fostered a rich and constructive debate on the future of fire safety in buildings, highlighting the need to update national regulations in line with sustainability principles and the integration of new technologies.

LNEC thanks all partners, moderators, speakers, and participants who contributed to the success of this edition, reinforcing the spirit of collaboration and knowledge sharing that defines this event.
