Studies - 3rd PHASE OF EXPANSION OF THE EAST BREAKWATER OF THE PORT OF SINES - PHYSICAL MODEL TESTS Three-dimensional stability and overtopping tests
The study of the 3rd Phase of Expansion of the East Breakwater of the Terminal XXI at the Port of Sines was based on its reproduction at a reduced three-dimensional physical model built at a scale of 1:65. The aim of the study was to verify the hydraulic stability and overtopping of the solution proposed by the designer for the extension of the East breakwater. In addition to this solution, alternative configurations were also tested with the aim of optimizing the breakwater design stability.
