Get to know LNEC's UQTA

The Water Quality and Treatment Laboratory (UQTA) of LNEC-EM is integrated in the Urban Water Unit of the Hydraulics and Environment Department of LNEC, which contributes to the safety and quality of water distribution for our consumption.

This Unit aims to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of water services and support smarter and more sustainable water management in urban areas.

At UQTA, water quality characterization tests are carried out in water and wastewater treatment plants (WTP and WWTP), and for both drinking water and wastewater discharge and reuse distribution systems.
