Research Project BINGO - Bringing Innovation to Ongoing Water Management - was the winner of the "I + D + I" award at the PT Global Water Awards in the category that distinguishes transnational research, development and / or innovation.

BINGO aims to assess the impacts of climate change on the integrated water cycle, promoting risk management strategies and adaptation measures, thus reducing vulnerability and increasing resilience.

This was the first Portuguese leadership in the Horizon 2020 European Program, winner among 40 European consortia.

The project, coordinated by LNEC, involves 20 European partners from 6 countries, integrating a multidisciplinary team of about 70 elements from research and innovation centres, water authorities, users, industry and companies.
