Areas of Research / Interest

  • Integrated management of urban water cycle, including water cycle safety planning, management of risks derived from climate change, efficient use of water, naturalization of the urban water cycle.
  • Sustainable management of urban water systems: infrastructure asset management, systems modelling and analysis (quantity and quality) of water supply and wastewater and storm water systems, minimization of undue inflows, water losses control, inspection and monitoring of systems, performance assessment of urban water services.
  • Resilience, risk managemen, reliability: applied to urban water systems, including multirisk and multisector approaches.

Research and Professional Activity

  • Applied research, development and innovation in urban water systems, has been responsible researcher or team participant in more than 100 research projects, national and European in the above-mentioned areas of work. Projects include:
