The Metrological Quality Division (NQM) is a unit of the LNEC Scientific Instrumentation Centre, created in 1993, aimed at developing R&DI (research, development, and innovation) in the fields of Metrology and Quality.

In this context, the NQM ensures the traceability and quality of the measurements in the different areas of Civil Engineering activity where LNEC operates, promoting the transfer of knowledge and the development and validation of methods and technology for the construction sector, as well as, developing competences for the quality management system that supports the accreditation of the LNEC-EM laboratory units (Testing and Metrology).
