NOE is currently involved in the permanent observation of two dozens of road and railway bridges and viaducts, and other special structures in Portugal, Algeria, Angola and Cape Verde, including a suspended bridge and six cable-stayed bridges..

The strategic research lines scheduled for 2015-2020, focus on two major themes, Infrastructure Management and Structural Integrity Monitoring.
