  • Databases (Development of a database concerning storage and analysis of data coming from the inspection of costal structures);
  • Photogrammetric and Time of Flight Methods in order to measure armour layer erosion in scale model tests. 3D surface models.

Research and Professional Activity

He has twenty- eight years of experience in the fields of marine hydraulics, namely in the field of physical modelling. She has participated in more than 77 studies physical scale model studies of marine structures. Developed a database in MS Access for the storage and analysis of systematic observation of maritime works data (ANOSOM) applied both to maritime works in Mainland Portugal, Azores, Morocco. Collaborated on the ANOSOM-WEB application. She has been developing methodologies for the application of photogrammetry and Time of Flight Methods to surveys of physical models of breakwaters. Has participated in scientific research projects, namely the MEDIRES project, Hydralab III and Hydralab IV, Hydralab + and PROTOCOL as a team member. Currently participates in Projects To-Sealert, BeSafe4Sea and MEGE.

Scientific Orientation

Was advisor of nine final internships (FCT/UNL) and co-advisor of nine integrated master's theses at ISEL, FCT/UNL and LUSÓFONA.
