• Member of the "Board" of the "International Institute for Noise Control Engineering (I-INCE)".
• President of the Fiscal Board of iiSBE Portugal (International Initiative for Sustainable Built Environment), for the quadrennials 2007-2011 and 2012-2016.
• Member of Portuguese commissions for environmental impact assessment studies.
• Member of scientific committees of several national and international congresses, and organizer of structures sessions, being also plenary invited speaker in some of them.
