Este relatório apresenta a caracterização metrológica do gerador de humidade TSC 2500, que constitui o padrão de referência da grandeza humidade relativa utilizado no âmbito da actividade metrológica desenvolvida pelo LCAM/LNEC. Neste, são referidos os aspectos mais relevantes associados às grandezas mensuráveis, ao princípio de funcionamento, aos modelos matemáticos aplicados, e à sua calibração e programação.

Apresenta-se, neste documento, o trabalho realizado a partir de Outubro de 2006, de instalação e adaptação de um sistema on-line de gestão de conferências, para o LNEC, baseado numa solução de Software Livre.

This report describes the second phase activity of the Portuguese group in the Precast Structures EC8 research project. The Portuguese group is composed by Laboratório Nacional de Engenharia Civil (LNEC) and the Civibral, S.A. precast company. This phase follows the shaking table tests of a 2 stories structure of the same precast system, which is commercialized by Civibral. More information about these tests can be found in the repor.The goal of the work presented in this document is to assess the seismic behaviour of column-foundation and beam-column connections from the same precast system. To help achieve this goal, 4 column-foundation and 10 beam-column connections were tested using quasi-static, monotonic and cyclic tests, which were made imposing displacements to the specimens. The column-foundation connections (CFC) can be categorized as socket connections and the beam-column connections (BCC) as dry connections using only mechanical devices to transmit forces between elements. All the specimens were supplied and mounted by Civibral personal.

Neste documento apresenta-se a técnica de dessalinização por compressas de materiais de construção porosos afectados pela acção de sais solúveis, analisando os aspectos que estão na base da sua acção dessalinizante. A aplicação correcta dos métodos de dessalinização de materiais de construção é uma componente importante para o sucesso do tratamento a efectuar sobre superfícies salinizadas e a sua investigação deve constituir uma preocupação central da intervenção. Ela deve iniciar-se pela experimentação em laboratório, para selecção dos métodos que manifestem um bom desempenho e que deverão, então, ser objecto de outro nível de análise, correspondente à sua aplicabilidade em obra, para responder a necessidades concretas de intervenção. O presente documento contém um método de estudo do processo de dessalinização por compressas, fornece directivas sobre como efectuar a selecção dos respectivos materiais e descreve os métodos de dessalinização a adoptar em função das características do substrato a dessalinizar e das condições de aplicação. O presente documento visa constituir um guia, tanto para a investigação sobre o desempenho de compressas de dessalinização, como para a realização de tratamentos de dessalinização in situ.

O dotProject é um Gestor de projectos baseado em tecnologia de Internet, de utilização livre e fácil de usar, que se espera possa vir a ser utilizado pelo Departamento de Hidráulica e Ambiente, para uma melhor gestão dos seus estudos, em particular o Programa de Investigação Programada para o quadriénio 2005-2008.Dadas as suas funcionalidades e o seu acesso gratuito via Internet, esta ferramenta foi a seleccionada e preparada para a Coordenação para servir de apoio à gestão do Estudo sobre a Localização do Novo Aeroporto de Lisboa. Embora a sua utilização não tenha sido a esperada, considera-se útil exemplificar as potencialidades do dotProject através do trabalho preparatório feito.Assim, neste manual, procura-se dar uma visão geral da aplicação, ilustrando-a com a instância criada naquele estudo.

This report is the Deliverable 2.7 component for Bahía Blanca Estuary, and concerns thediagnosis of the reference situation and the definition a target situation related to groundwater.Deliverable 2.7 aims the characterization of the inland waters, which contribute to the waterquality of the Bahía Blanca estuary. The contribution is presented in two main parts: (1)assessing main existing Pressures, and (2) analysing the State of surface and groundwaterquality. Based on this characterization, a future monitoring plan is suggested with the purpose offiling up existing gaps between drivers, pressures and state.The report is structured is several sections that present: a general characterization of thestudy area, the main existing pressures, the geology and soils, the geomorphology andtectonics, the hydrology, the hydrogeology and the water quality.

his report aims the presentation of the conceptual model, the mathematical model, and the computed results that allowed the quantification and mapping of the groundwater flow discharge, per kilometre of coastal line, towards Santos Estuary, in Brazil.The physical data of the Santos Estuary watershed is presented in terms of geology, hydrogeology, altimetry and precipitation.From the results it can be concluded that groundwater discharge to Santos Estuary depends on the watershed location, area and land use. Flow discharge is lower on a well drained basin, because groundwater contributions are mainly to the drains. There is a high fresh water discharge to the Atlantic Ocean, from Praia Grande and Santos area. Lower values are related with crystalline rock outcrop and small islands. Total groundwater discharge to the land-Estuary boundary from precipitation is about 8%, besides, other 17% flows as base flow to the drains. From the simulation it can be concluded that Boturoca watershed, São Vicente and Santo Amaro Island are the main contributors of fresh water from the sedimentary aquifer to the estuary. The results showed important groundwater discharges, higher from January to May. Lower discharges to the estuary were observed in Cubatão watershed. In this basin groundwater from the sedimentary aquifer flows to the drains and, afterwards as surface water, to the estuary.
