With the increase in maritime traffic, the Port of Aveiro’s Administration (APA) intends to improve accessibility conditions, in order to provide safety conditions for the passage of larger vessels than currently available.
The study in progress at LNEC aims to suggest modifications to the port’s entrance geometry as well as to the hydrodynamic and morphodynamic conditions, that can satisfactorily reconcile the various factors that influence the port’s access safety conditions.
