Studies - Support to HCB (Hidroléctrica de Cahora Bassa) concerning the operation of Songo cooling tower

The project studied the problems of Songo cooling tower related with water quality (scaling, corrosion, biological growth) and water use efficiency (cycles of concentration). A diagnosis was made based on the information collected during a field visit and on the operation and water quality data provided by Hidroeléctrica de Cahora Bassa. An Action Plan comprising technical solutions for improvement was developed.
