  • Mechanical and geometrical characterization, for quality control of steel products for reinforced and prestressed concrete.
  • Structural behavior of telecommunication monopoles.
  • Experimental characterization of metallic and concrete structure components..
  • Safety assessment of metallic and reinforced concrete structures.

Research and Professional Activity

  • Management of the classification and certification processes of steel products for reinforced concrete and for prestressed concrete.
  • Support to the execution of tests of structural components and metallic products.
  • Collaboration in expertise works, in the scope of structural problems.
  • Participation in audits to the factories of the producers of steel products for reinforced and prestressed concrete, for the classification and certification of those products.
  • Participation in the Normalization Technical Committee CT12 meetings.
  • Participation in the Steel Products Certification Technical Committee CT5 meetings.
  • Collaboration on the development and dissemination of research and innovation studies.
  • Programming for the support of the laboratory operations.
  • Numerical modelling of metallic and reinforced concrete structures.
  • Follow-up visits from external entities.

Scientific Orientation

Support of various research internships, mainly about the statistical study of test results of steel products for reinforced and prestressed concrete.
