• Mechanical characterization, technical assessment and quality control of metallic materials and products;
• Mechanical characterization, stability and durability of materials, products, constructive systems and structural components;

• Technical manager:
• Management of requests for tests on the characterization of ordinary and prestressed armatures;
• Ensure that the tests are performed properly within the appropriate schedule and in accordance with current standards. This guarantee consists also by the analysis of all results obtained in the tests;
• Elaboration of response to the requests about the tests carried out by the UPM and UCEst (technical / normative clarifications / costs / deadlines);
• Acceptance and validation of new equipment through the execution of tests of test and elaboration of procedures of use;
• Ensure proper maintenance and proper functioning of all existing equipment in UPM and UCEst;
• Responsible for carrying out training actions to the technicians on the new equipment and software applications;
• Determination of the monthly indicators of NCE activity.

• IT Manager:
• Responsible for the preparation / validation and maintenance of software tools necessary for all the activity developed by the NCE laboratories (spreadsheets and VBA);
• Development of specific accessories for performing equipment calibration and testing.

• Responsible for the Quality Management System (QMS)
• Management of the entire Quality System, as recommended in the respective Quality Manuals and relevant UPM normative documentation.
