Projects - Quantitative and qualitative interaction of surface and groundwater: optimization of groundwater exploitation and monitoring, evaluation and improvement of subsurface dams in Pernambuco, Brazil
The objective of this project was to increase the capacity to solve problems due to water resources scarcity, water uses in agriculture, and industrial and urban pollution. This included the evaluation of water resources and the analysis of optimized management of its exploitation and protection. The project had a special focus on the improvement of water storage strategies using subsurface dams.
